Accounting and finance teams, get ready to mingle!

Financial reporting, GRC, and ESG teams are meeting up September 19–21 in Nashville for the annual Workiva Amplify conference. In-person attendees can earn up to 13 CPE credits during three days of in-person sessions designed to spark ideas and ignite a passion for what’s next. (Virtual attendees can earn up to 5 CPE credits.)

Former PepsiCo Chair and CEO Indra Nooyi and Hello Sunshine founder and actress Reese Witherspoon are our keynote speakers. But you can also talk to fellow accounting and finance leaders about how they’re using the Workiva platform, optimizing financial reporting processes, and thinking about digital transformation. Here are five accounting and finance sessions:

The CFO Global Technology at Chubb and two leaders at Citizens Bank will share how they’re using technology to liberate the office of the CFO to do what they do best. Help our moderator dig deep during our time together to see how each organization has approached digital transformation.

Workiva is just getting started with generative artificial intelligence. In this session, hear from Workiva Vice President of Product Management for AI and Machine Learning Gautam Subbarao. You’ll also learn how early adopters are experimenting with generative AI in the Workiva platform and gain perspectives from Matt Kelly of Radical Compliance. This session will be held a few times during the conference.

Under Armour is closing the books and reporting financial results faster by using both BlackLine and the Workiva platform. Brooks Henneman, Senior Manager of Internal Controls at Under Armour, plus the BlackLine and Workiva teams will share more, including what Under Armour is doing to prepare detailed variance analysis reporting.

In this session, leaders at The Hershey Co. will share how they’re responding to a push from non-regulators and regulators alike for assured integrated reporting of financial and ESG data. See what they’re doing to bring together financial reporting, environmental, social, and governance (ESG), and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams.

The KKR private markets fund reporting team worked with advisory firm Embark to customize Workiva solutions for their reporting. Discover how Embark used the Workiva platform’s custom field properties to track reporting process milestones, aggregate data through queries, and present the information through an intuitive reporting dashboard.

Side note: The SEC Professionals Group is holding its Q3 meeting in Nashville during Amplify. You don’t have to be an SEC filer to join the Pro Group. You just need to be part of a financial reporting team. Find out more, and register to join for free.

Learn all about Amplify, including the full agenda and who’s playing at the closing event at the Grand Ole Opry. Is mingling in person not your thing? You can still register to attend virtually. Or tame your conference jitters with the Off the Books podcast crew.
